Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between te er (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cyrus Slayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cyrus Slayne told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
er moves out of range of the body kick from Slayne.
Slayne tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

er seems to be working for a kimura but Slayne defends the submission attempt.

Slayne tries to push off, looking to stand up, but er manages to move to mount!
er breaks from Slayne's wrist control and lands an elbow.

er has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

er closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Slayne to the mat! Slayne manages to get full guard.

er seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

te er overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with er in particular looking to stall.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

er seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Slayne for as long as he can get away with.

er remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
