Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between te er (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cyrus Slayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cyrus Slayne told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, te er! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cyrus Slayne! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! er moves out of range of the body kick from Slayne.
Slayne tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Slayne tries to clinch and er counters with a nice double leg into half guard. er seems to be working for a kimura but Slayne defends the submission attempt. Slayne wants to get back to his feet.
er sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Slayne defending well though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slayne wants to get back to his feet.
er wants to pass to mount but Slayne is defending the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. er content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
We're going to have a standup here because te er wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. er shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Slayne but Slayne pushes him off and we're back to square one. Cyrus Slayne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Slayne throws a right and a left that both miss. Slayne doesn't manage to clinch there - er circles away.
Slayne clinches up with er and pushes him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. er blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. er looking for a takedown. er gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Slayne is trying to control the position from the bottom.
er sitting in guard here, content to control. er pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Slayne is keeping the position for now. er won't allow Slayne to get back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. er avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Slayne walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. er checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. er tries to clinch up. er circles away from the clinch attempt and er counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. er takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. er gets to his feet - back to striking we go! er shoots for a takedown but Slayne saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for te er. That's going to take a lot out of him. Slayne closes the distance and clinches. Slayne slows down the pace here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. er fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slayne is trying to pull guard but er has him pressed against the cage. Slayne looks gassed! Slayne looking to slow down the pace here. Slayne successfully pulls guard.
Slayne working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from er. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. er gets to his feet - Slayne follows without any prompting. er circles away from the clinch attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. er avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Slayne pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. er looking to score a takedown here. Slayne is defending well but er drives through and ends up in Slayne's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
te er dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
er gets in close and instigates a clinch. Slayne tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and er avoids it. er tightens his grip and picks Slayne up, before dumping him to the ground. Slayne manages to land in guard. er scoring with punches to the head and body. er gets to his feet - Slayne follows without any prompting. Slayne tries to grapple but his opponent circles and er counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Slayne's guard now. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Slayne is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst er is controlling him. er slips nicely into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, if er is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Slayne is breathing heavily. Slayne tries to push off, looking to stand up, but er manages to move to mount!
er breaks from Slayne's wrist control and lands an elbow. Slayne taking shots to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. er content just to control the position here. er has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. er get's back to his feet. er closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Slayne to the mat! Slayne manages to get full guard. er makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. er seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. er advances to half guard. te er overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Slayne is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with er in particular looking to stall. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up because te er just wasn't active enough. er throws a looping overhand right but Slayne ducks down to avoid it. er avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
te er dominated that second round. That's time! er's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Slayne swats away the attempt to clinch by er. er fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Slayne fails with an attempt to clinch.
Slayne wants to clinch. Slayne tries to clinch but er moves away and er counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. er content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. er seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Slayne for as long as he can get away with. Slayne trying to control here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by er. er remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Slayne takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Slayne is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked er off and has taken his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slayne throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. er trying to control the hands but Slayne won't let him. er rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Slayne seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. er pushes Slayne off and gets back to his feet. Slayne tries to clinch up and er counters with a nice double leg into side control. Slayne won't be happy with that. That's three minutes gone in the round. Slayne struggling a bit here. er is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Slayne has escaped the position, nice work there. er decides to stand back up. er steps back and let's Slayne get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from er. Slayne shoots in for a takedown but er shows good takedown defense. Cyrus Slayne has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! er shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Slayne but Slayne pushes him off and we're back to square one. Slayne tries to land a front kick but er steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. er has managed to clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Slayne tries to break free but er pushes him back against the cage. Slayne missing with knees to the body.
te er is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Slayne throws an elbow but it's blocked.
And that's the end of the fight! te er showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for er, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
