Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wegscheider tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cardozo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wegscheider somewhat.
Sven Wegscheider seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wegscheider shoots in looking for a takedown. Cardozo tries to sprawl out of it but Wegscheider keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cardozo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cardozo connects with the punch.
It looks like Sven Wegscheider has been cut.
Wegscheider throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cardozo was covering up waiting for the punch and Wegscheider finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Wegscheider drops his hands momentarily and Cardozo takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wegscheider.

Cardozo stalks Wegscheider and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Wegscheider's face. Wegscheider staggers backwards, shaken.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cardozo pounces like a tiger and cracks Wegscheider with a vicious hook! Wegscheider is down but not out! Cardozo follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
