The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flamingo's corner calls for a 1-2. Flamingo obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Philippou lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Flamingo backs up against the cage.
Horrible takedown by Philippou or perhaps it was just good defense by Flamingo which made him look bad.
Flamingo buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Philippou.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Philippou goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Flamingo rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Philippou's guard! Nice work there by Flamingo!
Flamingo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Philippou on the ground.
Philippou has his foot on Flamingo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Flamingo works his way back into a safe position though.

Philippou shoots in looking for a takedown. Flamingo tries to sprawl out of it but Philippou keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Flamingo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Flamingo, as that shot connected.

Flamingo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Philippou gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Flamingo.
