The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Offembach misses with a body shot.
Atreides connects with a body shot that sends Offembach's belly button to the back.
Offembach takes the fight into the clinch.

Offembach swings wildly with an uppercut but Atreides uses good head movement to avoid it.
Offembach is looking for a takedown.

A bit of stalling here from Atreides.
Atreides has Offembach pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Atreides pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Offembach tumbling to the mat - Atreides dives into Offembach's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Atreides sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Offembach's guard.
Offembach is not content to let Atreides control the position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Offembach can do anything to dispel that myth.

Donk. Atreides catches Offembach right on the button with a cross.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Atreides here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Offembach tries to work over Atreides's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Offembach has a couple of punches blocked by Atreides.
Atreides breaks the clinch.
Crunch! Atreides slams his shin into Offembach's torso.
Offembach is breathing heavily.
Atreides uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Offembach has time to react.
Offembach shoots in looking for a takedown but Atreides manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Offembach's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Atreides connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Offembach momentarily.

Good leg kick by Atreides there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Leto II Atreides is winning the standup battle so far.
A left lands for Atreides.
Atreides pounces like a tiger and cracks Offembach with a vicious hook! Offembach is down but not out! Atreides follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
