Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shuuji Hanamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hanamoto has chosen Am I Evil? as his entrance music. Michael Scott had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hanamoto shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

That was a close round but I would say that Michael Scott will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Scott has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hanamoto manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.
Good standup being displayed there by Scott as he connects with a hook.
Scott wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hanamoto uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Scott.
Hanamoto shoots in but Scott avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Hanamoto counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hanamoto.

Hanamoto has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Scott uses from the top position.

Hanamoto reaches up to try and control the position but Scott seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Hanamoto rolls and tries to escape and now Scott has his back!

Scott is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Hanamoto. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Scott lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Hanamoto is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Scott off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Hanamoto is trying to get back to his feet but Scott has full control of the position and if anything, Hanamoto has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Michael Scott overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
