Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Amigo Cerveza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cerveza comes to the cage accompanied by Demarco ft Konshens - Paper chasing . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Amigo Cerveza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Sean Smith!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Amigo Cerveza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Smith scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Smith connects with a looping right hand.

Cerveza drops his shoulder and cracks Smith with a huge uppercut! Smith goes down! Can Cerveza finish him?


Smith is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Smith is still in real trouble! Can Cerveza finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cerveza makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Cerveza with a flurry of punches that miss.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cerveza accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Smith is trying to control the position but Cerveza postures up.

Cerveza is working Smith over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Smith is on top in guard.

Smith avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Cerveza is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Smith is aware though and is defending well.

Cerveza working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Smith doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Smith manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Smith frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Cerveza has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cerveza wants to control but Smith is having none of it.

Cerveza tries to lock up and control but Smith gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smith with shots to the head and body - Cerveza looks very uncomfortable down there.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Smith cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Cerveza tries to lock up and control but Smith gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Smith scoring with strikes but Cerveza is staying in there.
Cerveza tries to hold on but Smith pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith lands a heavy elbow.
Cerveza is looking to improve his position but Smith isn't that keen on the idea.
Cerveza wants to hold on but Smith pushes him away.
Smith lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Smith looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Smith cracks Cerveza with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Cerveza is bucking up trying to escape but Smith cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Cerveza is rocked!
Smith connects with a bit shot that sees Cerveza covering up! More strikes from Smith and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Smith is our winner by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sean Smith!
A relieved looking Sean Smith thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
