Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonah Roncesvalles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roncesvalles takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Monroe, right into the meat.
Monroe is looking to score with low kicks.
Monroe throws a sloppy head kick and Roncesvalles moves out of range easily.

Monroe looks to land a right hand but Roncesvalles moved out of range.
Roncesvalles moves out of range of the body kick from Monroe.
Carlos Monroe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That kick from Monroe tenderised Roncesvalles's leg. Roncesvalles is trying to keep his angry face on.
Roncesvalles tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Monroe was well out of range. Poor timing from Roncesvalles.

Monroe has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Roncesvalles finds it's way round the side to connect with Monroe's head.
Monroe throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Monroe is trying to force a seperation but Roncesvalles has the dominant position.
Roncesvalles has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Monroe uses from the top position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Roncesvalles is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
