Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mario Mario!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch but Mario swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Jackson moves in looking to clinch but Mario pushes him off.
Mario misses with a body kick.
Jackson throws a low kick, looking for Mario's leg but Mario calmly moves out of range.
Mario swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Mario tries to keep at a distance but Jackson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jackson has Mario pressed against the cage.
Jackson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Mario looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Jackson is trying to pull guard but Mario has him pressed against the cage.
Jackson wants to stall.

Jackson breaks the clinch.
Mario tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and Mario counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jackson is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Jackson throws a nice looking combination but Mario bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Mario counters with a solid body kick.
Mario throws a half hearted mid kick.

Jackson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mario, pushing him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mario Mario will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Mario throws a sloppy head kick and Jackson moves out of range easily.
Jackson tries to clinch but Mario moves out of range.
Bo Jackson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Mario counters with a nice body kick.
Mario pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bo Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jackson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mario manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Jackson scores with a jab to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bo Jackson will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

It looks like Mario Mario has been cut.
Jackson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mario tries to score with a low kick but Jackson moves his leg out of the way.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bo Jackson showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Jackson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
