Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Nowak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chras Watsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kyle Nowak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chras Watsky! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nowak closes the distance and clinches. A battle for position here, against the cage. Watsky looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Nowak tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Watsky avoids it. Nowak has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Watsky is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Nowak breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Watsky fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Watsky tries to close the distance and clinch but Nowak swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Nowak connects with a right hand. Watsky shakes it off. Nowak is trying hard to land a takedown here. Watsky sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Nowak fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Nowak. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fight moves into the clinch position. Nowak lands a nice knee to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head punch blocked on the inside by Nowak. Watsky lands with a right to the head. Nowak is looking for a takedown. Watsky controlling the action here for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Nowak wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Watsky wants to control from the top but Nowak keeps moving. Nowak is controlling Watsky's posture. Nowak throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Watsky trying to control the position from guard on top but Nowak is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Chras Watsky was stalling too much, according to the referee. Watsky scores a takedown into full mount! This has been an exciting period of action! Nowak regains half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Watsky wants to take a breather but Nowak is having none of it. Nowak wants to improve his position but Watsky is controlling well.
Watsky wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nowak keeps working. Watsky gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Nowak has closed the distance and engaged Watsky in a clinch.
Nowak scores with a knee to the head.
Nowak tries to pull guard but Watsky holds him up against the cage and eventually Nowak drops back down to his feet.
Nowak ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Nowak no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Nowak is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nowak is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Watsky trying to control but Nowak is working from the bottom. Nowak has a closed guard, preventing Watsky from standing up. Watsky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nowak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Watsky drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nowak looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nowak looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nowak! You can see the frustration on Watsky's face as Nowak controls the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kyle Nowak will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Nowak fails to land the takedown. Watsky circles away from the clinch attempt.
Watsky scores with a kick to the midsection. The fight stays on the outside here - Nowak looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kyle Nowak is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Watsky digs a good body shot into Nowak's ribs. Watsky keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nowak shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Watsky as he jumps to the side. Nowak misses with the combination.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Watsky is looking to land body kicks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Nowak. Those never looked like landing. Nowak is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Watsky closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nowak circles away. Watsky misses with a two punch combination.
Nowak tries to score a power double leg takedown but Watsky sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nowak somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Nowak. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nowak looks for a takedown but Watsky sprawls well. Watsky throws a right hand that Nowak ducks under and follows up with a left that Nowak also avoids with ease.

Watsky stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Watsky wants it to stay on the feet. A looping hook to the body misses from Watsky. Nowak does a little dance to reset his feet. Watsky closes the distance and lands a one-two. Watsky throws a series of punches but Nowak avoids them all with ease. Watsky rushes Nowak and presses him up against the cage. Nowak tries to pull guard but Watsky won't allow it.
Nowak tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Watsky successfully pulls guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nowak throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Watsky works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Nowak won't allow Watsky to get back to his feet. Nowak trying to control but Watsky is working from the bottom. Watsky looking to control.
Nowak showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Kyle Nowak wasn't doing enough on the ground. Nowak shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Watsky but Watsky pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nowak moves in looking to clinch but Watsky pushes him off. The fight stays on the outside here - Nowak looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Watsky doesn't manage to clinch there - Nowak circles away.
Nowak dives in and grabs Watsky's left leg, looking for a takedown. Watsky pushes down on Nowak's head and hops out. Nowak throws a hook but Watsky blocks it. Nowak has a takedown stuffed. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nowak shoots in looking for a takedown. Watsky tries to sprawl out of it but Nowak keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Watsky manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Watsky dives in and scores a takedown into Nowak's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chras Watsky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Nowak wants to clinch up but Watsky keeps it at a distance. Nowak fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Watsky avoids it really well and circles away. Watsky slaps away a takedown attempt from Nowak, before circling back to the center of the mat. Watsky lands with a nice body punch. Watsky cracks the inside of Nowak's front leg. Watsky drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nowak manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Watsky is looking to take a break and control but Nowak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nowak is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Watsky is trying to control. Nowak wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Watsky stands up and beckons Nowak to join him on the feet. Nowak fails in his attempt to clinch. Watsky bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Watsky lands a few punches from side control. Watsky thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nowak seems a little lost for a moment, as Watsky dominates the positioning. Nowak gets back to half guard. Nowak controlling the position for now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nowak trying to control from the bottom.
Nowak slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Nowak is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Watsky is aware though and is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Watsky trying to control the position from guard on top but Nowak is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Watsky avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Nowak controls Watsky momentarily but Watsky frees himself. Watsky preventing the sweep. Nowak is trying to control the position but Watsky postures up. Watsky is fighting to break Nowak's control of his arms but Nowak is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Nowak trying to control the position.
Kyle Nowak has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Watsky gets in close and instigates a clinch. Watsky has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nowak is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Watsky letting Nowak take a breather here. Watsky wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nowak breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

And that's the end of the fight! Chras Watsky comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Watsky has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
