Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mocny Vlad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fisher is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Must Be The Money. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisher just misses with a punch to the body.
Vlad keeps the fight on the outside.
Vlad is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Fisher will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Vlad has managed to clinch.
Vlad gets underhooks to prevent Fisher's takedown attempt.
Fisher tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Vlad escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Vlad throws a head kick but Fisher moves out of range.
Vlad tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Vlad keeps Fisher at a distance using the push kick.
Vlad tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fisher paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Vlad throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fisher leaves Vlad with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Fisher dodges the punch combination from Vlad.
Fisher misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Fisher tries to close the distance and clinch but Vlad swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Fisher tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Vlad manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Vlad shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fisher sprawls well. Fisher wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vlad gets slowly back to his feet.

Fisher misses with a wild combination.
Vlad throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Fisher counters with a left and a right that stings Vlad.
Vlad lands with a nice combination. Fisher backs away looking to recover.
Fisher on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Vlad. Vlad obviously looking to wear him down.
Fisher misses with a jab to the body
and Vlad counters with a nice body kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fisher throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Vlad stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fisher throws a head kick but Vlad moves out of range.
Fisher throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A head kick misses from Vlad.
Vlad plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Vlad misses with a body kick.

Vlad gets a clinch.
Fisher can't find room to land a body shot as Vlad controls the action.
Fisher doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Fisher misses with a hook from the clinch.
Vlad can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mocny Vlad. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vlad breaks the clinch.
Vlad moves out of range of the body kick from Fisher.
Fisher throws a sloppy head kick and Vlad moves out of range easily.
Fisher walks into a left hand.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Vlad.
Fisher avoids the head kick by Vlad.
Fisher stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Vlad.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vlad closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fisher circles away.
Fisher moves out of range of the body kick.
Fisher takes a kick to the side of the head.
Vlad has closed the distance and engaged Fisher in a clinch.
Vlad goes for a takedown attempt but Fisher pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Fisher has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Vlad.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Vlad tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Fisher counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Vlad has taken the fight to the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mocny Vlad dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Vlad drives through with a takedown into guard.
Vlad gets to his feet. Fisher looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Vlad darts in trying to clinch
and Fisher counters with a shoot takedown. Vlad fights it but they end up in guard.
Fisher slips nicely into half guard.
Vlad is looking to improve his position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Vlad wants to get back to his feet.
Fisher is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Vlad holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Vlad tries to get to full guard but Fisher has control of the leg.
Vlad is pressing down on Fisher's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Fisher loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fisher distracts Vlad with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Vlad avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Fisher trying to control but Vlad is working from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Fisher's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vlad looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fisher is one step ahead there.
Fisher stops Vlad from standing up.
Fisher is looking to advance position but Vlad has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Fisher is squirming around, avoiding Vlad's attempts to control the action.
Vlad is really struggling to control Fisher but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Fisher wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Vlad.
Vlad trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Fisher working to try and regain half guard.
Vlad thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Vlad avoids the attempt from Fisher to control.
Vlad moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Fisher has worked his arm free - good work by Fisher!

Fisher sneaks back into half guard.
Vlad is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fisher doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vlad.
Vlad is stalling here. Fisher is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Vlad seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Fisher has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Check out the look on Fisher's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Steve Fisher showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Fisher tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Vlad's elbow.
Fisher using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Vlad has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Vlad is trying to push Fisher away but Fisher has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Fisher stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Vlad wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Fisher tries to work over Vlad's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Vlad is trying to break the clinch but Fisher is controlling him.
Vlad wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Fisher is working for takedown but Vlad is calmly controlling the position for now.
Mocny Vlad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Fisher.

Fisher wants to take the fight to the mat but Vlad manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Vlad checks the leg kick nicely there.
Vlad pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Fisher back to the cage. Vlad follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Fisher manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Vlad on his heels. He'll look to pass Vlad's guard now, I'm sure.
