Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Akihito Tatsuhiko Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antoine Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Antoine Wallace! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tatsuhiko Jr cracks the inside of Wallace's front leg. Wallace throws a poor cross that misses
and Tatsuhiko Jr counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wallace thinking. Wallace blocks the body kick.
Tatsuhiko Jr motions for Wallace to come forward. Tatsuhiko Jr throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. A looping hook to the body misses from Wallace. Tatsuhiko Jr does a little dance to reset his feet. Tatsuhiko Jr looks for a takedown but Wallace sprawls well. Tatsuhiko Jr throws a nice looking combination but Wallace bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Wallace misses with an uppercut. Tatsuhiko Jr saw that one coming. and Tatsuhiko Jr counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Wallace is lucky that one didn't land flush. Tatsuhiko Jr tries for a takedown but Wallace sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tatsuhiko Jr drives through with a takedown into Wallace's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Tatsuhiko Jr slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Wallace manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tatsuhiko Jr avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Wallace. Tatsuhiko Jr works his way to full guard. Good work. Wallace is looking to work some ground and pound but Tatsuhiko Jr has wrist control. Tatsuhiko Jr manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Wallace is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Tatsuhiko Jr wants to control the pace but Wallace is squirming around nicely. Tatsuhiko Jr controlling the pace for now. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tatsuhiko Jr prevents Wallace from getting the reversal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wallace wants to hold on but Tatsuhiko Jr pushes him away. Wallace is squirming around, avoiding Tatsuhiko Jr's attempts to control the action. Tatsuhiko Jr putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Wallace tries to hold on but Tatsuhiko Jr postures up. A nice elbow there by Tatsuhiko Jr. Tatsuhiko Jr has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tatsuhiko Jr scoring with strikes but Wallace is staying in there. Wallace working to try and regain half guard.
Wallace wants to hold on but Tatsuhiko Jr pushes him away. Tatsuhiko Jr working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. The referee warns Wallace that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Wallace is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tatsuhiko Jr looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Wallace covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
