Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kaito Ishikawa!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalski blocks a head kick by Ishikawa.
Ishikawa goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Ishikawa works over Kowalski's head and body with a nice combination.
Ishikawa fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kowalski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ishikawa tries to avoid it but Kowalski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ishikawa to the ground. Ishikawa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Kowalski holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Kowalski is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ishikawa tries to break free but Kowalski pushes him back against the cage.

Ishikawa keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kowalski's efforts to push away.

Kowalski pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ishikawa stuffs the takedown attempt from Kowalski. Kowalski gets slowly back to his feet.
Kowalski blocks a head kick by Ishikawa.
Kaito Ishikawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kowalski takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Kowalski shoots in for a double leg but Ishikawa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jan Kowalski. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ishikawa avoids a punch combination nicely.

Kaito Ishikawa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kowalski shoots for a takedown but Ishikawa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Ishikawa lands a brutal head kick. Kowalski looks out on his feet and Ishikawa throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
