Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jay Hammonds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hazuka Oyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hazuka Oyama is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jay Hammonds!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hazuka Oyama!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oyama throws a shot to the body.
Oyama throws an off balance right hand

and Hammonds counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Hammonds stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Oyama swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hammonds wants to stand but Oyama is controlling his posture from full guard.
Oyama wants to get back to his feet but Hammonds is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jay Hammonds wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Hammonds uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Oyama.
Hammonds fails with the takedown
and Oyama connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Oyama swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hammonds shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Oyama defends it nicely.
Hammonds closes this distance looking for a takedown but Oyama circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Hammonds. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hammonds needs to keep his hands up - Oyama had a free shot at his head there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oyama lands a glancing blow to the side of Hammonds's head.

Oyama cracks Hammonds with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Oyama has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hammonds to stand back up!

Hammonds is rocked!

It looks like Jay Hammonds has been cut.
Oyama ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Hammonds out cold! The fight is over!
