Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Nye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Serga Magged (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magged shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nye as he avoids it easily.
Nye could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Magged fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Magged doesn't manage to clinch there - Nye circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Magged.
Bill Nye has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Serga Magged.

Magged rushes Nye and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Magged jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nye walks away with a smile on his face. Magged gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Magged moves into the clinch.
Magged lands an elbow that stopped Nye in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Bill Nye has been cut.

Magged's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Magged throws a head kick but Nye moves out of range.
Nye misses with a takedown attempt - Magged sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Serga Magged seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Magged clinches with his opponent.

Magged ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Magged no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Nye has gone for a leg lock! Magged slips out almost immediately though and dives into Nye's guard.
Magged is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Magged stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nye swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Serga Magged was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Magged dives in and grabs Nye's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nye pushes down on Magged's head and hops out.

Nye shoots for a takedown but Magged saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Magged looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Magged changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nye tries to avoid it but Magged manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nye to the ground. Nye escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Horrible takedown by Nye or perhaps it was just good defense by Magged which made him look bad.
Magged closes the distance and clinches up with Nye, looking for a takedown. Magged pushes Nye against the ropes but Nye circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Magged shoots in but Nye avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Nye throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Magged's waist but Magged gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nye off to one side.
Nye misses with a takedown attempt - Magged sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Magged wants to clinch.
Magged fakes the leg kick and cracks Nye in the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fight stays on the outside here - Magged looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Nye counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Magged!
Magged tries to lock up and control but Nye gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Nye jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Magged manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Nye tries for a kimura but Magged is defending well.
Magged tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nye wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Magged is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Nye off and has taken his back!
Magged throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nye looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Magged has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Nye has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That was a close second round but I would say that Bill Nye will probably get the nod.

Nye wants to take the fight to the mat but Magged manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Nye is trying to drag Magged to the mat but Magged just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.
Nye changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Magged fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Magged smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Nye throws a big elbow that misses.
Magged looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Magged is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Magged is just content to waste time from the top position. Nye takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Magged shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nye but Nye pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nye shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Magged as he jumps to the side.

Magged bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Nye is trying to control Magged's posture but Magged avoids it.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Serga Magged comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Magged has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
