Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between King Naresuan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, King Naresuan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Connor!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connor throws a right and a left that Naresuan avoids nicely.
Naresuan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Naresuan fails with the takedown.
Naresuan shoots for a takedown but Connor saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for King Naresuan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Connor throws a head kick but Naresuan moves out of range.
Naresuan looks for a takedown but Connor sprawls well.

Connor shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Naresuan's guard.

Naresuan looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Connor passes into half guard.
Naresuan wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Connor stands up and beckons Naresuan to join him on the feet.
Naresuan fails with the takedown

and Connor counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Connor would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Naresuan has his foot on Connor's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Connor works his way back into a safe position though.

Connor scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Connor takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Naresuan gets back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Connor stands up over Naresuan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Naresuan throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Connor escapes and throws Naresuan's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Naresuan is trying to improve his position.
Connor looks up at the clock and then as Naresuan takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Connor smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Connor works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Connor just content to control the position.
Naresuan tries to buck Connor off but Connor is having none of it.
Connor is chipping away with strikes.
Naresuan is trying to improve his position.

Connor stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Naresuan misses with a takedown attempt

and Connor counters with a single leg into guard. Naresuan didn't expect that.
Connor is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Naresuan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Connor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Connor manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Naresuan throws his legs up looking for a submission but Connor uses it to pass to side control.
Naresuan tries to bench press Connor off him but Connor keeps the position.
Naresuan tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Connor presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Connor dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Connor looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
The fight stays on the outside here - Connor looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Naresuan keeps the fight on the outside.
Naresuan has his takedown stuffed
and Connor counters with a slapping leg kick.
Connor throws a right hand that Naresuan ducks under and follows up with a left that Naresuan also avoids with ease.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Connor shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Naresuan as he avoids it easily.
Connor fails in his attempt to clinch.
Connor throws a head kick but Naresuan moves out of range.

Connor finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Connor moves in looking to clinch but Naresuan pushes him off.
Connor throws a push kick but Naresuan slaps the foot to one side.
Naresuan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Connor counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Naresuan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Connor gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Naresuan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Naresuan had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Connor is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Naresuan Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Connor's back instead.

Naresuan is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Connor has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Naresuan doesn't have the hooks in and Connor manages to turn into his guard.
Connor is stalling in the full guard.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Connor.

Connor closes this distance looking for a takedown but Naresuan circles away.
Connor fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Naresuan checks it well.
Naresuan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Connor jabbing away but nothing is landing.

John Connor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Naresuan is looking for a sweep.
Connor is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Naresuan's shoulder. That is not cool.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

John Connor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Connor has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
