Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Albino Leffe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yrjo Jarvinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jarvinen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Frederik - Harva meistä on rautaa. Yrjo Jarvinen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Albino Leffe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yrjo Jarvinen!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jarvinen drives through with a takedown into Leffe's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Jarvinen wants to control from the top but Leffe keeps moving.
Jarvinen throwing strikes from guard but Leffe blocks nicely.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Yrjo Jarvinen hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Leffe tries to clinch up but Jarvinen circles away and keeps his distance.
Jarvinen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Leffe wants to sweep but Jarvinen has passed to side control!

Jarvinen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Jarvinen is nestled in close to Leffe, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Leffe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Leffe wants to get back to full guard but Jarvinen has mounted him!
Jarvinen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Leffe is looking to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jarvinen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Jarvinen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yrjo Jarvinen dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Leffe throws out a loose jab but Jarvinen uses good head movement to avoid it.

Jarvinen clinches up with Leffe and pushes him back against the cage.

Jarvinen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Leffe avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Jarvinen leaves Leffe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Jarvinen changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Leffe.

Leffe punishes Jarvinen's body with a nice straight punch.

Jarvinen is nestled in close to Leffe, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Jarvinen is looking for a kimura but Leffe is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jarvinen to get the leverage.

Jarvinen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Leffe doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jarvinen.

Leffe keeping control of the position.
Jarvinen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Leffe does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jarvinen is just content to waste time from the top position. Leffe takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Jarvinen looking to sit in guard and control but Leffe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Jarvinen lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Leffe!
Jarvinen lands a big shot there that rocks Leffe but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jarvinen's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yrjo Jarvinen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Jarvinen goes for a takedown attempt but Leffe pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Leffe is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jarvinen.

Leffe scores with the left hand. Jarvinen knows he should have avoided that one.

Jarvinen slips under a jab from Leffe.
Leffe has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Leffe bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Leffe scores with a shot to the body.
Leffe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Jarvinen clinches up with Leffe and pushes him back against the cage.
Jarvinen tries to pull guard but Leffe forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Jarvinen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Leffe walks away with a smile on his face. Jarvinen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Albino Leffe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yrjo Jarvinen.
Leffe lands a jab to the nose.
Leffe fails in his attempt to clinch.
Yrjo Jarvinen seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Leffe throws a poor cross that misses
and Leffe takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Albino Leffe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jarvinen jabs Leffe to the body, keeping him at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Leffe looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Leffe takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Jarvinen lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Leffe throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jarvinen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Jarvinen clinches up with Leffe and pushes him back against the cage.

Leffe misses with a hook from the clinch.
Leffe struggles to land a body shot inside as Jarvinen controls his hands.

Jarvinen wants the takedown. Leffe is fighting it off but Jarvinen persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Leffe's guard against the cage.
Jarvinen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Leffe works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Leffe has momentary wrist control but Jarvinen slips an elbow through the middle.

Jarvinen is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Leffe's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Leffe throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Jarvinen to regain full guard.
Jarvinen is looking to stand up but Leffe isn't so interested in that idea.
Leffe throws a big right hand that misses.

Jarvinen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Leffe defends well.

Leffe sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jarvinen's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Yrjo Jarvinen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jarvinen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
