Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mika Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). West has chosen Cee Lo Green - F-bomb as his entrance music. Robert West will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mika Daniels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Robert West!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

West clinches up with Daniels and pushes him back against the cage.
Daniels wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
West with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.


It looks like Mika Daniels has been cut.
Daniels fails to pull the fight into his guard.

West connects with a massive knee from the clinch and Daniels goes down! West jumps into full mount looking to finish!

West is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Daniels tries to hold on but West pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Daniels takes the fight into the clinch.
Daniels wants to take the fight to the mat but West manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

A nice glancing elbow lands by West.
Daniels is trying to pull guard but West turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mika Daniels. That's going to take a lot out of him.
West keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Daniels's efforts to push away.
West keeps control of Daniels as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Daniels is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

West is pushing Daniels up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
West utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

West has Daniels tight in a Thai clinch... and there's a huge knee which drops Daniels to the floor. He's out cold!! I hope he's still got all his teeth!

After winning the bout, Robert West thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
