Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Beth Slade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Knobbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Beth Slade! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamie Knobbs! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knobbs misses with a takedown and Slade counters with a shoot takedown. Knobbs fights it but they end up in guard. Slade looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Slade works a leg free and moves into half guard. Knobbs has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Slade is working away from the top position though. Slade perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Ground and pound from Slade.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slade takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Beth Slade. Slade throws a head kick that half lands.
Knobbs has his takedown stuffed and Slade counters by moving into the clinch. Knobbs jumps guard but Slade turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Beth Slade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamie Knobbs. Slade breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Knobbs shoots for a takedown but Slade saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Knobbs has eaten all the pies! Slade stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Slade wants it to stay on the feet. Knobbs fails with a takedown attempt. Knobbs shoots and misses and Slade decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Knobbs's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Slade is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Beth Slade. Knobbs tries for a takedown but Slade sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Knobbs shoots in looking for a takedown. Slade tries to sprawl out of it but Knobbs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Slade manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Slade has closed the distance and engaged Knobbs in a clinch.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Beth Slade just wasn't active enough. Slade displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Knobbs. Slade clinches with his opponent.

Knobbs is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Slade to keep the fight standing. Knobbs tries to break free but Slade pushes him back against the cage. Knobbs tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Slade smiles and moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Slade decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Knobbs wants to improve his position but Slade is controlling well.
Slade is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Knobbs has managed to free his arm - good work. Slade seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Knobbs does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Beth Slade dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Knobbs shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Slade pinned against the cage. Slade gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Knobbs takes a body punch but keeps moving. A head kick misses from Slade. Slade scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Knobbs shoots in for a takedown but Slade shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Slade displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Knobbs. Beth Slade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamie Knobbs. Knobbs will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Knobbs. Knobbs shoots in but Slade avoids the takedown attempt easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Knobbs shoots in looking for a takedown but Slade manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Knobbs's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Knobbs takes a body punch but keeps moving. Knobbs fails with the takedown and Slade counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Slade.

Knobbs tries to pull guard but Slade holds him up against the cage and eventually Knobbs drops back down to his feet.
Slade turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Slade manages to end up in side control. Slade working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. You can see the frustration on Knobbs's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Knobbs being controlled for a moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Slade throws a head kick that misses. Slade keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Slade drives through and clinches with Knobbs against the cage.

Slade leaning his opponent against the cage. Slade works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Slade drops back looking for a leg! Knobbs is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Knobbs manages to kick Slade off! Slade jumps back into Knobbs's guard. Slade trying to control the position from guard on top but Knobbs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Beth Slade wasn't doing enough on the ground. Knobbs shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Slade sprawls well. Slade wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Knobbs gets slowly back to his feet. Knobbs shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Slade as he jumps to the side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Beth Slade dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slade looking to control and managing it successfully. Slade seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Knobbs for as long as he can get away with. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slade has control of Knobbs's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Knobbs regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Slade controlling from the full mount. Slade has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Beth Slade has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Nice sprawl there from Slade as Knobbs shoots in.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knobbs fails with the takedown and Slade counters with a big head kick but Knobbs shrugs it off. Beth Slade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamie Knobbs. Knobbs shoots in but Slade avoids the takedown attempt easily. Knobbs doesn't succeed with the takedown and Slade counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Beth Slade is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Knobbs is defended easily by Slade. Knobbs shoots in for a double leg but Slade sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Knobbs shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Slade as he jumps to the side. Knobbs has a takedown stuffed. Knobbs gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Slade to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Knobbs keeping moving, preventing Slade from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Beth Slade wasn't doing enough on the ground. Knobbs fails miserably with a takedown attempt. No luck with that takedown attempt from Knobbs. Knobbs fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
And that's the end of the fight! Beth Slade showed his dominance in that final round. Well Slade has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Beth Slade! Beth Slade decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
