The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt has a takedown stuffed.
Hunt stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hunt wants it to stay on the feet.

Hunt closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming De La Villa to the mat! De La Villa manages to get full guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Hunt wants to control from the top but De La Villa keeps moving.

De La Villa is working an open guard so Hunt takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Hunt misses with a takedown attempt - De La Villa sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
De La Villa shoots in looking for a takedown. Hunt tries to sprawl out of it but De La Villa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hunt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hunt cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Hunt is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. De La Villa can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hunt has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of De La Villa's face.

Hunt seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down De La Villa for as long as he can get away with.
