Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jarmo Laukkanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kily Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laukkanen comes into the arena with The Mutilation of Christ blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jarmo Laukkanen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kily Gonzales!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laukkanen scores with a head kick.
Laukkanen takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Gonzales looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Laukkanen!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Laukkanen is squirming around, avoiding Gonzales's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Laukkanen tries to lock up and control but Gonzales gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Laukkanen wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Gonzales uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Gonzales working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Laukkanen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Laukkanen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gonzales bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Laukkanen's guard.
Laukkanen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Laukkanen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gonzales manages to get himself to full guard.

Laukkanen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gonzales has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Laukkanen has managed to get both his arms back between Gonzales's legs - danger averted.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Laukkanen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gonzales throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Laukkanen decides to stand back up. Laukkanen steps back and let's Gonzales get back to his feet.
Gonzales feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Gonzales throws a big shot that misses.
Laukkanen connects with a leg kick. Gonzales looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Gonzales closes the distance and clinches up with Laukkanen, looking for a takedown. Gonzales pushes Laukkanen against the cage but Laukkanen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Laukkanen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Gonzales is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That kick from Laukkanen tenderised Gonzales's leg. Gonzales is trying to keep his angry face on.
Gonzales doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Laukkanen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Gonzales shoots in but no luck this time.
Jarmo Laukkanen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kily Gonzales.

Kily Gonzales seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Laukkanen circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Gonzales drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Laukkanen follows Gonzales to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Jarmo Laukkanen decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
