Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buddy Palermo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rufus Lyndon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Palermo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lyndon for as long as he can get away with.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Buddy Palermo.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Palermo holds on and takes a little breather.

Palermo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lyndon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lyndon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lyndon is looking to get back to his feet here but Palermo is keeping cool and he's managed to take Lyndon's back.
Lyndon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Lyndon is in a bad position with Palermo working for a choke. Lyndon manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

Palermo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lyndon manages to get himself to full guard.
Palermo stands and throws Lyndon's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The referee asks Palermo politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Palermo prefers to stall for the moment though.
