Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chris Mayo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trajan Argyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mayo comes to the cage accompanied by Super Furry Animals - Golden Retriever. Argyle comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Go to Sleep kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Chris Mayo had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chris Mayo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Trajan Argyle!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Argyle shoots for a double leg takedown but Mayo sprawls well. He's pushed Argyle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mayo staying out of range there.

Argyle closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Mayo can't do much from the bottom here.
Argyle is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Mayo will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Mayo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Argyle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mayo has managed to get both his arms back between Argyle's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that Chris Mayo will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Mayo is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Argyle's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Well, with Argyle on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Mayo is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Argyle is working for a rear naked choke. Mayo is not defending it well and Argyle has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Mayo refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Mayo's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Trajan Argyle!
Trajan Argyle seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
