Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Simon Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Marens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marens has chosen Pittbull - Give me everything as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marens chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Marens looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Marshall lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Jake Marens has been cut.
Marshall fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marens manages to avoid it.
Marshall with a hook.
Marshall lands a lovely overhand right.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Marens has a takedown stuffed.
Marshall cracks Marens with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Marshall fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Marens takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Marshall drops Marens with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Marens looks back up at him and smiles so Marshall waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Marens is rocked!
Marens checks a low kick from Marshall.
Marens is still on wobbly legs! Can Marshall finish him?
Marens tries to get into range but Marshall steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Marens! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Marshall scores the big KO victory!
