Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Cunnigham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Munoz might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mga kababayan ko. Cunnigham is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Jeremy. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jeremy Cunnigham enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mark Munoz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeremy Cunnigham! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cunnigham connects with a right hand. Munoz shakes it off. Mark Munoz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Munoz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Munoz tries to clinch but Cunnigham moves away and Cunnigham counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Munoz thinking. Munoz tried to score with a low kick but Cunnigham checks it. Cunnigham fails with a takedown attempt. Munoz looks to throw the jab but Cunnigham is out of range. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cunnigham is defended easily by Munoz. Munoz lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Munoz displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cunnigham. Mark Munoz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeremy Cunnigham. Munoz misses with a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Munoz throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Cunnigham wants to clinch. Cunnigham fails with a takedown attempt. No luck for Cunnigham with that takedown attempt. Munoz doesn't manage to clinch there - Cunnigham circles away.
Munoz misses with a head kick.
Munoz darts in and clinches Cunnigham up against the cage. Cunnigham stalling in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cunnigham lands a good knee to the midsection. Munoz won't want to take too many of those. Cunnigham is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Munoz pulls him back up using the underhooks. Munoz gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Cunnigham regains guard.
This has been an exciting period of action! Munoz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Cunnigham striking from the bottom here. Cunnigham is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Munoz throwing strikes from guard but Cunnigham blocks nicely. Munoz throwing strikes but missing. Munoz is working Cunnigham over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Munoz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cunnigham has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Munoz scoring with some ground and pound. Cunnigham utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Munoz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Munoz scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Munoz lands a couple of elbows. Munoz is posturing up here but Cunnigham has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Munoz tries to roll out but it's too tight and Munoz has to tap! Slick submission there by Cunnigham!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jeremy Cunnigham! A relieved looking Jeremy Cunnigham thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
