Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marty Laguna!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laguna ducks down and throws a hook to the body but The Butcher moves away.
The Butcher misses with a double jab.
The Butcher looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Laguna misses with a double jab.
Laguna throws a big shot that misses.
Laguna misses with an uppercut. The Butcher saw that one coming.
The Butcher looks to land a combination. Laguna sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
The Butcher misses with a body shot.
The Butcher fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Laguna sprawls well initially but The Butcher persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The Butcher is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The Butcher is looking for a kimura here.
The Butcher is looking for a kimura but Laguna is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for The Butcher to get the leverage.

Laguna is defending against the submission attempts here by The Butcher.
The Butcher is keen to just control but Laguna is a slippery customer.
The Butcher passes the guard and advances to mount!

Laguna is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Laguna tries to lock up and control but The Butcher gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Laguna is desperately trying to improve his position but The Butcher has a good base and remains in mount.
Laguna is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
The Butcher goes for an armbar but Laguna turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Laguna.
The Butcher is looking to sinch up a triangle. Laguna throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to The Butcher's body to avoid the submission. The Butcher has instead reached around Laguna's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! The Butcher arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

After the fight, John The Butcher was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
