Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rock Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Dray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dray has chosen Champion as his entrance music. Ricky Dray is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rock Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricky Dray!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dray looks for a takedown but Lee sprawls well.
Lee shoots in and drives through. Dray sprawls well.
Rock Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lee decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Lee throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Ground and pound from Lee.
Lee trying to control from Dray's half guard. Dray has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Lee pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dray is keeping the position for now.
Lee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dray on the ground.

Dray utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee trying to control the position from guard on top but Dray is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lee engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

We're going to have a standup here because Rock Lee wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Lee moves into the clinch successfully.
Lee stalling the fight.
Lee lands a good knee to the midsection. Dray won't want to take too many of those.

Lee tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Dray avoids it.
Lee is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Dray should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Dray has Lee pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lee manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Dray wants a takedown but no success here.
Rock Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Dray.
Lee utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Dray is pressed up against the cage. Lee has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dray down to the mat. Dray avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Lee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dray was well out of range. Poor timing from Lee.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lee rushes Dray and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Lee is trying to drag Dray to the mat but Dray just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Dray is trying to force a seperation but Lee has the dominant position.

Lee has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dray uses from the top position.

Lee is wriggling around but Dray manages to pass to half guard.
Lee tries to get to full guard but Dray has control of the leg.
Lee tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Dray has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Lee tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Lee tries to control Dray's body but Dray pushes him off. Lee squirms to his side and now Dray has his back!
Lee wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Dray stuffs the takedown.
Dray fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lee comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Lee tries to clinch but Dray is having none of it.

and Dray counters with a single leg into guard. Lee didn't expect that.
Lee wants to sweep here but Dray controlling him for the moment.

Lee controls Dray momentarily but Dray frees himself.
Lee is striking off his back. Dray thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Lee is trying to control but Dray manages to pass to mount!

Dray goes for an armbar but Lee turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Lee.

Dray keeping moving, preventing Lee from controlling successfully.
Lee wants to stand but Dray is controlling his posture from full guard.
Lee postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Lee tries to free his leg and advance position but Dray is retaining full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lee controls from within his opponent's guard.
Dray keeping full guard, as Lee tries to pass.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Rock Lee just wasn't active enough.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dray swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dray keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Lee fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dray, pushing him back against the cage.

Lee manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Rock Lee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dray pushes down on Lee's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Lee wants to improve his position but Dray is controlling well.
Dray prevents Lee from standing back up.
Lee regains full guard. Nicely done.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dray drops back looking for a leg! Lee is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lee manages to kick Dray off! Dray jumps back into Lee's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rock Lee dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Lee has closed the distance and engaged Dray in a clinch.

Lee is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Dray can't fight it off and eventually Lee manages to take the fight to the floor. Dray looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Dray pushes Lee off and scrambles back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dray.

Lee misses with a jab, cross combination.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Dray tries to pull guard but Lee forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Lee drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dray gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Dray wants to take the fight to the mat but Lee manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Lee tries a knee to the head but Dray blocks it.
Dray wants to get back to striking at distance but Lee won't allow it.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Dray as Lee tries to tie him up.
Rock Lee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Nice elbow from Lee.
Dray jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lee walks away with a smile on his face. Dray gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Lee wants to clinch.
Lee doesn't manage to clinch there - Dray circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dray throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dray off to one side.
Dray shoots in but no luck this time.
Lee shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lee tries to clinch up.
Dray avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lee works over Dray's head and body with a nice combination.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lee fails to land the takedown.
Ricky Dray has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The fight stays on the outside here - Lee looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rock Lee showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Lee has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
