3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Denny Prestol! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Prestol misses with an uppercut. Torres saw that one coming. Torres displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Prestol throws out the jab. Prestol throws a jab but it's blocked by Torres. Torres closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Prestol's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Torres trying to control but Prestol is working from the bottom. Torres might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Torres stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Prestol swivels though and keeps the full guard. Torres looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Prestol is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Josh Torres has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Torres takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Torres passes to side control. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Torres fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. You can see the frustration on Prestol's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Torres controlling from side mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Prestol is looking for a sweep. Torres is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Torres controlling the pace. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Torres is trying to control. Prestol wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
