Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luc Deveraux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Hurley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hurley's choice of entrance music: Chase & Status feat. Takura-No Problem. Luc Deveraux looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurley takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Derek Hurley has been cut.
Deveraux uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Deveraux throws a right hand that Hurley ducks under and follows up with a left that Hurley also avoids with ease.
Hurley takes one to the chin there.
A head kick misses from Deveraux.
Hurley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Deveraux's waist but Deveraux gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hurley off to one side.
Deveraux defending well as Hurley loads up on a big left hand.
Luc Deveraux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Deveraux connects with a nice looking jab.
Hurley has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hurley there as he acknowledges the shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hurley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Deveraux is fending him off so far but Hurley persists. Nope, Deveraux circles away and we're back to standing.

Hurley is rocked!
Hurley seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Deveraux shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Hurley is backing up but Deveraux catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Hurley covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Deveraux Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Luc Deveraux!
Luc Deveraux opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
