Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike McMiller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Mohammed Abdullah!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abdullah tries to close the distance and clinch but McMiller swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McMiller looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Abdullah pushes McMiller up against the cage in a clinch.
McMiller lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Abdullah breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Abdullah moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
McMiller is rocked!
It looks like Mike McMiller has been cut.
Mike McMiller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Abdullah looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Abdullah misses with a series of wild punches.
Abdullah throws a lazy right hand but McMiller sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
McMiller dodges the punch combination from Abdullah.
McMiller shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Abdullah! McMiller is backing up but he can't get away as Abdullah lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops McMiller and ends the fight. Great knockout.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mohammed Abdullah!
