Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Frink (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andriy Kersikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kersikov has chosen Manio - All The Above as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Frink! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andriy Kersikov! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frink moves forwards but Kersikov connects with a nice, crisp jab. Frink tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kersikov rushes Frink and presses him up against the cage. Kersikov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Frink misses with a body kick. Kersikov throws out a loose jab but Frink uses good head movement to avoid it. Frink takes a jab right on the kisser.
Kersikov scores with a spinning back kick! Frink throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kersikov's waist but Kersikov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Frink off to one side. Frink chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kersikov can pounce on him.

Kersikov lands with an uppercut that bounces Frink off the cage and back into range. Kersikov lands a jab to the nose. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Frink forces Kersikov back against the cage and clinches. Kersikov avoids the elbow strike from Frink, against the cage.

Frink gets control of Kersikov's arms and successfully pulls guard. Frink will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Frink is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kersikov lands a couple of elbows. Kersikov wants to control from the top but Frink keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kersikov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. That's two minutes gone in the round. Frink bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kersikov's guard. Frink trying to control the position from guard on top but Kersikov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kersikov tries to land a sweep but no joy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Frink tries to free his leg and advance position but Kersikov is retaining full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kersikov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Frink wants to control from the top but Kersikov keeps moving. Frink trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kersikov wants to sweep here but Frink controlling him for the moment. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kersikov has control of Frink's left arm, preventing Frink from doing any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kersikov checks a leg kick. Frink tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Frink misses with a body shot.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Frink as Kersikov tries to tie him up. Frink creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Kersikov is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage. Frink gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Frink jumps guard but Kersikov turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Kersikov blocks the elbow strike.

Kersikov presses Frink against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. A short right from Kersikov on the inside. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Frink just misses with a elbow thrown towards Kersikov's brow. Kersikov lands with a short punch from the clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Frink creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Kersikov's defenses.

A close round but Andriy Kersikov will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Frink takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Kersikov lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Kersikov lands a jab to the nose. Kersikov closes the distance and lands a one-two. Kersikov dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Frink. That did some damage! Frink throws a wild body kick that Kersikov sees coming a mile off. Frink walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Frink throws a head kick but Kersikov moves out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Frink tries to land a front kick but Kersikov steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. A nice leg kick lands there from Kersikov. Frink tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kersikov, as that shot connected.

Kersikov scores with a jab to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Frink shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Frink lands a leg kick that knocks Kersikov off balance momentarily. Kersikov goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Kersikov connects with a single shot there. Frink chopping away at his opponent's legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kersikov throws a looping overhand right but Frink ducks down to avoid it. Kersikov catches Frink with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Kersikov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Frink has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Kersikov has closed the distance and engaged Frink in a clinch.

Andriy Kersikov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Frink closes the distance and clinches up with Kersikov, looking for a takedown. Frink pushes Kersikov against the cage but Kersikov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Frink tries a head kick but it misses.

Frink doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Andriy Kersikov seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kersikov lands a leg kick that knocks Frink off balance momentarily. Kersikov thuds his shin into the meat of Frink's side. Frink tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kersikov tries to land a front kick but Frink steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Frink looks to land a body kick but Kersikov moved away. Frink thows a leg kick but Kersikov checks it and Kersikov makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. A slow jab from Frink misses its intended target. John Frink seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kersikov pushes Frink away with a front kick. Good leg kick by Kersikov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Frink throws the kick towards the body but Kersikov avoids it. Kersikov dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Frink shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Frink drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Kersikov avoids the body shot from Frink.
Frink pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Frink chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kersikov can pounce on him.
Frink is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Kersikov keeps the fight on the outside. Frink on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Kersikov forces Frink back against the cage and clinches. Frink looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Kersikov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kersikov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Frink has time to react. Frink on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kersikov. Kersikov obviously looking to wear him down.
Frink is looking to clinch. A lazy left from Kersikov finds it's target. Kersikov connects with an inside leg kick. Frink takes a swing at Kersikov's ribcage but misses. Frink wants to clinch up but Kersikov keeps it at a distance. Frink swings widly with a right hand

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kersikov lands a head shot. Frink takes a swing at Kersikov's ribcage but misses. Kersikov cracks Frink with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Frink loads up on a big right hand but Kersikov slips the punch. Frink looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Frink fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kersikov to the ground. Frink is now in Kersikov's guard. Kersikov lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Frink! Frink takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Frink is rocked! Kersikov controlling the pace for now. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kersikov cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Oh Frink is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kersikov loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Frink scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Kersikov land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Kersikov stands and salutes the crowd.
