Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Lavar Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes to the ring accompanied by Till I Collapse. Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Lavar Johnson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Alexander Cruz's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cruz.

Cruz throws a head kick but Johnson moves out of range.
Johnson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Cruz cracks a nice hook into Johnson's ribs.

Cruz pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Cruz moves in looking to clinch but Johnson pushes him off.
Cruz moves into range and clinches up with Johnson.

Cruz fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Johnson checks it well.

and Cruz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Cruz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Johnson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cruz moves in looking to clinch but Johnson pushes him off.
Cruz throws a combination. Johnson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cruz scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Johnson doesn't seem bothered though.

Johnson misses with a lunging right hand
and Cruz counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Cruz clinches up with Johnson and pushes him back against the ropes.
Cruz scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Johnson avoids a wild elbow strike from Cruz.
Johnson is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Cruz is keeping busy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Alexander Cruz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Johnson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The fight stays on the outside here - Cruz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Johnson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Cruz connects with a crisp jab.
Cruz lands a right and a left and another right! Johnson goes down! Oh, he's in big, big trouble! 3,4,5,6,7,8... he's up to one knee... 9,10! He can't beat the count - this one is all over!
