The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maxwell misses the jab.

Fennessy fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Maxwell dips to his left and cracks Fennessy with an uppercut!
Fennessy slips a straight right by Maxwell.
Maxwell misses with a series of wild punches.
Maxwell looks to land a combination but Fennessy avoids it well.
Fennessy throws a leg kick but Maxwell moved away.
A bone on bone clash there as Maxwell blocks the leg kick.
Fennessy tries for a takedown but Maxwell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Maxwell tries to close the distance and clinch but Fennessy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Maxwell throws a series of punches but Fennessy moves out of range.
Fennessy lands with a straight right. Maxwell didn't see that one coming.

It looks like Tremendous Maxwell has been cut.
Fennessy tries to clinch up but Maxwell circles away and keeps his distance.
Fennessy misses with a takedown attempt - Maxwell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Tremendous Maxwell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Fennessy.
Maxwell stuffs the takedown.
Maxwell throws a one two combo.

Fennessy is rocked!
Maxwell is breathing heavily.
No luck for Fennessy with that takedown attempt.
Fennessy is still on wobbly legs! Can Maxwell finish him?
Maxwell tries a head kick but it misses.
Fennessy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Maxwell paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Maxwell dodges the ground and pound from Fennessy.

Fennessy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fennessy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Fennessy stands up.
Fennessy connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Fennessy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Maxwell trying to control here.
Fennessy passes to full mount!
Fennessy lands a nice shot to the head.
Maxwell is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Maxwell is trying to escape the mount.
Maxwell tries to improve his position but instead Fennessy has taken his back!

Fennessy working for a choke but Maxwell is defending well.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Fennessy's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Fennessy dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Tremendous Maxwell's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Maxwell is looking to clinch.
Fennessy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fennessy swats away the attempt to clinch by Maxwell.
Fennessy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Maxwell pinned against the cage. Maxwell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Maxwell drops Fennessy with a straight right hand, right on the button! Maxwell follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
