The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Win closes the distance looking to clinch
and Geri counters with a single leg into guard. Win didn't expect that.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Geri advances to half guard.
Geri uses his free foot to push down on Win 's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Win .
Geri working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Win turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Geri off and cradles Win 's limp body as Geri celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Mae Geri!
