Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Duncan Pinderhughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ace Popo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Popo has chosen Murder To Excellence as his entrance music. Pinderhughes has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Ace Popo has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Duncan Pinderhughes's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pinderhughes throws a hook but Popo avoids it easily. Popo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Popo wants to clinch. Pinderhughes connects with a looping right hand.
Popo on the wrong end of a nice hook. Popo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pinderhughes swivels and escapes. Pinderhughes lands a two punch combo.
Popo's corner calls for a 1-2. Popo obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Popo rushes Pinderhughes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Popo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pinderhughes uses from the top position. That was a close round but I would say that Duncan Pinderhughes will probably get the nod. That's time! Pinderhughes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Pinderhughes takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Popo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pinderhughes keeps working. Ace Popo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Pinderhughes throws the left hand but Popo avoids the punch easily. Pinderhughes uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Popo has time to react. Popo swinging wildly here.

Duncan Pinderhughes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Popo moves out of range of the strikes. Popo drops his hands momentarily and Pinderhughes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Popo tries for a takedown but Pinderhughes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Duncan Pinderhughes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ace Popo. Popo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pinderhughes swivels and escapes. Pinderhughes connects with a good right hand that stumbles Popo. Popo circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Popo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Popo shoots in for a takedown but Pinderhughes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Pinderhughes with a hook. Popo misses with a takedown attempt and Pinderhughes counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Pinderhughes works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Pinderhughes scores with a one two! Popo had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Popo has his takedown stuffed and Pinderhughes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Pinderhughes cracks Popo with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Popo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Popo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Popo blocks a jab. Pinderhughes leaves Popo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Popo takes a shot right to the bread basket. Popo takes one to the side of the head.
Popo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Pinderhughes throws a hook to the side of Popo's head but Popo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Popo is defended easily by Pinderhughes. Popo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pinderhughes defends it nicely. Pinderhughes is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Popo takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Popo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pinderhughes sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Popo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pinderhughes tries to avoid it but Popo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pinderhughes to the ground. Pinderhughes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Popo closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Popo drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Popo has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Pinderhughes throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Duncan Pinderhughes showed his dominance in that final round. I think Pinderhughes has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
