Vera comes to the cage accompanied by Black Eyed Peas - Bebot. Arben is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: P.O.D. - The Messenjah. Rozafa Arben has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Rozafa Arben is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vera tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Arben manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Vera buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Vera shoots in looking for a takedown. Arben tries to sprawl out of it but Vera keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Arben manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Vera lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Arben throws a looping overhand right but Vera ducks down to avoid it.

Vera scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Vera moves in looking to clinch but Arben pushes him off.
Vera shoots in for a takedown but Arben shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Arben bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Arben enables Vera to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Arben manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Vera controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Arben pushes a forearm under Vera's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Vera is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

In his post fight interview, Rozafa Arben started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
