6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paulo Anchorez! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aurelio scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
It looks like Paulo Anchorez has been cut. Aurelio lands a big shot that drops Anchorez! Can he finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Anchorez tries to land a sweep but no joy. Anchorez working for a triangle but Aurelio defends it easily.

Anchorez wants to get back to full guard. Aurelio is looking to take a break and control but Anchorez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Anchorez gets back to full guard.
Aurelio trying to control but Anchorez is working from the bottom. Aurelio distracts Anchorez with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Aurelio wants to stand but Anchorez is controlling his posture from full guard. Aurelio missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aurelio throws a strike but Anchorez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Anchorez throwing strikes from guard but Aurelio blocks nicely. Aurelio wants to stand but Anchorez is controlling the position. Anchorez trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Aurelio manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Anchorez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anchorez keeping moving, preventing Aurelio from controlling successfully. Anchorez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Aurelio is aware though and is defending well. Anchorez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Aurelio defends it easily. Anchorez looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Aurelio passes Anchorez's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Aurelio lands strikes from half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Aurelio landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That has opened up Paulo Anchorez's cut even more. Aurelio keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Aurelio working the head and body with strikes.
Paulo Anchorez's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Paulo Anchorez's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Marcos Aurelio! Marcos Aurelio retains his heavyweight title!
