The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez staying out of range there.
Lopez looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jones tried to score with a low kick but Lopez checks it.
Jones pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Lopez jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Jones misses with a body shot.
Lopez scores with a decent looking hook.
Lopez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lopez throws out a powerful jab.
Lopez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lopez cracks Jones with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Lopez has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Jones to stand back up!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lopez cracks Jones with a hook to the temple - Jones is on wobbly legs here! Lopez swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Jones falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Lopez wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Victor Lopez!
After the fight, Victor Lopez was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
