Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Punch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyson has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Mike Tyson looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mike Tyson! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Punch feints a jab promting Tyson to slip. Punch then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Tyson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Tyson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Punch will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Punch connects with the punch. Tyson dodges the punch combination from Punch.
Left hook, right uppercut from Punch. Punch throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tyson ducks right into an uppercut from Punch. Punch misses with a two punch combination.
Tyson slips a jab and a cross from Punch.
Punch tries to close the distance and clinch but Tyson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Tyson drops his hands momentarily and Punch takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tyson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Punch is fending him off so far but Tyson persists. Nope, Punch circles away and we're back to standing. Tyson dodges the punch combination from Punch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Punch closes the distance and clinches. Tyson prevents a body shot from Punch. Punch misses with a hook to the ribs.

Punch's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Tyson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Punch wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. This has been an exciting period of action! Punch tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Punch lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Punch. A jab lands there for Punch. Punch throws a right hand that Tyson ducks under and follows up with a left that Tyson also avoids with ease. Punch swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Punch tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tyson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Tyson shoots for a double leg takedown but Punch sprawls well. He's pushed Tyson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Punch bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Punch tests Tyson's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Punch. Those never looked like landing. Tyson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Tyson throws a sloppy head kick and Punch moves out of range easily. Tyson misses with a takedown attempt - Punch sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Paul Punch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Tyson. Punch throws a series of punches but Tyson avoids them all with ease. Punch swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tyson counters by clinching up. Tyson is trying to drag Punch to the mat but Punch just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Punch breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Tyson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Punch avoids it really well and circles away. Tyson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Punch clinches up against the cage. Tyson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Punch is defending well. Punch lands a right hand that snaps the head of Tyson backwards. Punch struggles to land a body shot inside as Tyson controls his hands.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Punch gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyson takes one on the button. Sloppy strikes from Punch. Those never looked like landing. Punch throws a right and a left that both miss. Tyson is trying desperately to land a takedown but Punch is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Tyson. Punch darts in and clinches Tyson up against the cage. Punch pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Punch stalks Tyson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tyson's face. Tyson staggers backwards, shaken. A shot to the liver by Punch. Beautiful body shot. Punch gets a clinch. Tyson can't break the clinch.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Punch breaks from the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Punch lands a jab to the nose. Paul Punch is winning the standup battle so far. Punch swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tyson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tyson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Tyson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Tyson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Punch rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tyson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Tyson dives in and grabs Punch's left leg, looking for a takedown. Punch pushes down on Tyson's head and hops out. A combination from Punch does no damage. Punch lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Tyson jabbing away but nothing is landing. Paul Punch is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Punch lands a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Punch lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Some wild striking there from Punch.

Paul Punch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Tyson. Tyson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Punch has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Punch is pushing Tyson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Tyson tries to pull guard but Punch won't allow it.

Tyson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Punch pulls him back up using the underhooks. Punch can't find room to land a body shot as Tyson controls the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Punch tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Punch lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Punch misses with a body punch.
Tyson has Punch pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Punch manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Punch scores with an uppercut up the middle. Punch looking to stall.
Punch just leaning against Tyson, taking a breather. Punch throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Punch is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Tyson is keeping busy. Punch content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Punch is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tyson can do to turn this around? Tyson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Punch will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Punch lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Jab, jab by Punch - just one landing. Punch swinging wildly here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Punch rushes Tyson and presses him up against the cage. Paul Punch has scored more points in the clinch so far. Paul Punch is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Punch throws a nice looking combination but Tyson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Punch tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Tyson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Punch keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Tyson. Paul Punch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Punch lands a nice looking body shot.

Nice sprawl there from Punch as Tyson shoots in. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Punch misses with a two punch combination.
Tyson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mike Tyson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tyson throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
And that's the end of the fight! Paul Punch showed his dominance in that final round. Well Punch has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
