The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lloyed keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lloyed misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gloi Fridleifsdottir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A chopping leg kick lands by Lloyed.
Fridleifsdottir showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lloyed.
Fridleifsdottir slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.


It looks like Josh Lloyed has been cut.
A slow jab from Lloyed misses its intended target.
Fridleifsdottir blocks a head kick by Lloyed.

Lloyed uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fridleifsdottir.

Fridleifsdottir throws a lazy right hand but Lloyed sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Fridleifsdottir slips a jab and a cross from Lloyed.

Lloyed connects with a high kick.
Lloyed tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fridleifsdottir tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lloyed was well out of range. Poor timing from Fridleifsdottir.

Fridleifsdottir gets tackled into the cage by Lloyed. Lloyed maintains the clinch.

Fridleifsdottir has clasped his hands together around Lloyed's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Lloyed defending against the ground and pound.
Fridleifsdottir working the strikes but Lloyed uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Lloyed wants to control but Fridleifsdottir is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Fridleifsdottir looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lloyed with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Fridleifsdottir throws a big elbow that misses.
Lloyed avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Fridleifsdottir is bucking up trying to escape but Lloyed cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Lloyed fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Fridleifsdottir is desperately trying to improve his position but Lloyed has a good base and remains in mount.
Fridleifsdottir really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lloyed. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fridleifsdottir is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lloyed has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Fridleifsdottir's face.
Lloyed has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lloyed fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Fridleifsdottir is in all sorts of trouble here.

Lloyed cracks Fridleifsdottir with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
