Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Karl Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salvador Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Mama said kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A thudding body kick lands there by Thomas!
Alves throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Thomas takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Thomas explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Alves blocks the body kick.
Thomas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Alves.
A looping hook to the body misses from Alves. Thomas does a little dance to reset his feet.
Alves lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Thomas lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Thomas throws a leg kick that misses.
Alves shoots in but Thomas avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Thomas scores with a hook to the body. Alves takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Alves misses with a takedown attempt - Thomas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Alves tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Thomas throws a leg kick which misses Alves's front leg but catches the back leg as Alves tries to avoid it.
Alves looks gassed!
Thomas lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Alves takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Thomas throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Alves stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

It looks like Salvador Alves has been cut.

Thomas is pushing Alves up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Thomas jerks Alves's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Alves drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Thomas goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Thomas because Alves was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
