The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Massaranduba shoots for a takedown but Baldaia saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Baldaia closes the distance and clinches.
Baldaia's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Massaranduba dodges the punch combination from Baldaia.
Baldaia with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Baldaia fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Massaranduba, pushing him back against the cage.
Baldaia lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
It looks like Francisco Massaranduba has been cut.
Baldaia is looking to break free of the clinch but Massaranduba has double underhooks.
Baldaia breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Baldaia thuds a left hand into Massaranduba's body.
Massaranduba shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Baldaia sprawls well. Baldaia wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Massaranduba gets slowly back to his feet.
Massaranduba walks into a jab.
Baldaia lands with a right hand.

Massaranduba on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Baldaia closes the distance and clinches up with Massaranduba, looking for a takedown. Baldaia pushes Massaranduba against the cage but Massaranduba circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Massaranduba closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Baldaia to the mat! Baldaia manages to get full guard.
Massaranduba is breathing heavily.
Massaranduba wants to stand and escape but instead Baldaia has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Massaranduba wants to get back to his feet but Baldaia is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Baldaia seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Diogo Baldaia was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Baldaia shoots in but Massaranduba avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Baldaia works over Massaranduba's head and body with a nice combination.
A chopping leg kick lands by Baldaia.
Massaranduba takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Baldaia looks to land a combination. Massaranduba sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Baldaia connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Massaranduba is rocked!
Baldaia closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Massaranduba! Baldaia dives in looking to finish! Massaranduba is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Diogo Baldaia!
Diogo Baldaia tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
