Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zane Peltier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peltier has chosen Rockstar-Chamillionaire as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Donnie Jackson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Zane Peltier! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Colin Fray.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peltier uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jackson.
Peltier finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Peltier circles away quickly and effectively. Jackson misses with a hook
and Peltier counters with an outside leg kick.
Peltier walks into a straight right hand from Jackson. Peltier moves out of range as Jackson strikes. Jackson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Peltier.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Peltier. Jackson throws a big shot that misses. Jackson throws a hook but Peltier blocks it.

Peltier takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Jackson swats away the attempt to clinch by Peltier.
Peltier closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson is looking to control Peltier's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jackson avoid being mounted? Jackson keeping hold of Peltier's head, controlling as best he can. Peltier not landing any meaningful shots this time. The fighters are battling for position here. Jackson manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Jackson is trying to control the position but Peltier postures up.
Jackson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Peltier gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jackson trying to control the position.

Donnie Jackson dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Peltier ducks under a wild hook from Jackson. Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Peltier swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jackson looks to land a right hand but Peltier moved out of range. Jackson scores with a body shot.
Peltier with a poor takedown enabling Jackson to counter with a crisp jab. A big left from Jackson misses. Peltier displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jackson throws out the jab. Peltier throws a chopping leg kick but Jackson manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson slaps away a takedown attempt from Peltier, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jackson wants to clinch and Peltier counters with a thumping low kick. Jackson stuns Peltier with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Peltier dodges the punch combination from Jackson.
Peltier shoots in and bounces Jackson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Jackson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Jackson has his foot on Peltier's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Peltier works his way back into a safe position though. Peltier working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jackson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jackson pulls Peltier in close to prevent any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson has momentary wrist control but Peltier slips an elbow through the middle. Jackson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. This has been an exciting period of action!

Peltier trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Peltier slips nicely into half guard. Peltier trying to pass the guard but Jackson defending well. Jackson is trying to maintain the position but Peltier is very close to passing his half guard. Jackson is trying to stand.
Jackson wants to improve his position but Peltier is controlling well.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Peltier is looking for a kimura but Jackson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Peltier to get the leverage. Peltier has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jackson fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

That was a close second round but I would say that Donnie Jackson will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Peltier moves out of range of the strikes. Peltier walks into a left hand. Jackson tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Peltier counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jackson's guard now. Jackson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Peltier loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Peltier throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jackson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Peltier scoring with some ground and pound.  That's two minutes gone in the round. Peltier scores with punches from side control. Peltier working the body and head with strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Peltier tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Peltier has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jackson regains half guard. Jackson trying to control from the bottom.
Peltier content to control rather than advance. Peltier winds up and cracks Jackson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Peltier is looking for a kimura but Jackson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Peltier to get the leverage. Peltier is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Jackson throws a big shot that misses. Peltier shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Jackson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Jackson misses with a looping right. Peltier ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Peltier ducks right into an uppercut from Jackson. Peltier will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jackson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson wants to clinch. Jackson blocks a low kick nicely. Jackson throws a hook to the side of Peltier's head but Peltier sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Peltier misses with a leg kick.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson regains full guard. Nicely done. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peltier throwing strikes from guard but Jackson blocks nicely. Peltier with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Peltier scoring with some ground and pound. Jackson wants to sweep here but Peltier controlling him for the moment. Peltier trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jackson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Peltier off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Jackson jabbing away but nothing is landing. A jab from Jackson finds it's way through Peltier's defenses. Jackson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Jackson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Peltier. That was a close fourth round but I would say that Donnie Jackson will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Peltier accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Peltier postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jackson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Peltier trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.  The ref stands the fighters back up. Donnie Jackson wasn't doing enough on the ground. A jab from Jackson misses.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson misses with a wild body shot. Jackson cracks Peltier with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Jackson misses with a hook. Peltier ducked under it nicely. Peltier tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Jackson is able to avoid easily. Peltier tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Nice takedown defense from Jackson. No joy for Peltier on that attempt. Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Peltier paws at him with a jab and circles away. Zane Peltier has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Peltier fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jackson. Peltier looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Donnie Jackson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jackson just misses with a punch to the body.
Jackson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Jackson can't find room to land a body shot as Peltier controls the action.

Donnie Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zane Peltier. Jackson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Donnie Jackson. I think Jackson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
