The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez fails to land with a series of punches.

Junior Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sanchez moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Nice body punch from Sanchez. Method takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Sanchez throws a series of punches but Method moves out of range. Method wants to clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Method takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Sanchez decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Method is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Method is working an open guard so Sanchez takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Sanchez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Method scores with a one two! Sanchez had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Method shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sanchez pinned against the cage. Sanchez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Sanchez misses with a double jab.

and Method counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Method is trying to work for a kimura but Sanchez is defending well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sanchez wants to get back to his feet.

Method maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Sanchez could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Method has cracked it and Sanchez is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Method!
