Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wade Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson comes into the arena with Ave Maria blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Wade Wilson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Xavier Armstrong! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Armstrong attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Armstrong tries to clinch but Wilson is having none of it. Wilson just misses with a punch to the body.
Armstrong gets off balance looking for a body kick and Wilson counters with a two punch combo. Armstrong forces Wilson back against the cage and clinches. Armstrong swings wildly with an uppercut but Wilson uses good head movement to avoid it. Armstrong presses Wilson against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Armstrong lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Armstrong tries to throw a body punch but Wilson avoids it by throwing Armstrong back against the cage. Armstrong goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Armstrong lands with a right to the head. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Armstrong. Wilson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Armstrong can't keep his opponent in guard - Wilson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Wilson thows a huge punch but Armstrong dodges it nicely.

Wilson is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Wilson throws a big right hand that misses. Wilson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Wilson trying to control but Armstrong is working from the bottom. Armstrong working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Wilson. Wilson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Armstrong is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Armstrong keeping moving, preventing Wilson from controlling successfully. Armstrong being controlled here, momentarily. Wilson trying to move into half guard but instead Armstrong has managed to sweep! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Armstrong wanted to stand there but Wilson had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Armstrong stopping the sweep attempt from Wilson. Wilson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Armstrong has his hands clasped together but Wilson extends an breaks Armstrong's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Wilson.
