Sackett has chosen Whoomp There it is as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eccleston shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Eccleston showed some decent athleticism there.

Eccleston wants to free his trapped foot but Sackett is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Eccleston looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sackett with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sackett throws a series of strikes and Eccleston wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Eccleston lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Eccleston.
Eccleston is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Can Sackett hold on?! Eccleston is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

Eccleston drops a big shot to the side of Sackett's head! Oh, Sackett is out! He's out cold! Eccleston jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner. In his post fight interview he thanks God. Saying that without him, he wouldn't have the power to knock his opponent senseless. Amen.
