Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dancer Cotillion! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shamgar Jonckers! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jonckers keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
No joy there for Jonckers, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jonckers looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Cotillion! The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Cotillion tries to hold on but Jonckers postures up. Jonckers has control of Cotillion's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cotillion regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Poor strikes thrown by Jonckers there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

It looks like Dancer Cotillion has been cut. Jonckers prevents Cotillion from getting the reversal. Jonckers controlling the pace for now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jonckers unloads with some shots from mount but Cotillion bucks and avoids them well.
Jonckers with a couple of short strikes. Jonckers fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's one minute gone in the round. Cotillion is looking to get to half guard. The referee warns Cotillion that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Cotillion blocking the ground and pound. Jonckers cracks Cotillion with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Jonckers throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Cotillion tries to reverse the position but Jonckers maintains control. Jonckers misses with a head shot. Jonckers is working for a guillotine from mount but Cotillion frees his head quite easily.
Cotillion tries to hold on but Jonckers postures up. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jonckers lands a heavy elbow.
Dancer Cotillion's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Jonckers lands a heavy elbow.
Jeez, Dancer Cotillion's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Dancer Cotillion's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Shamgar Jonckers! Shamgar Jonckers was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
