Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Boxer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Gatho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gatho comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 666 - Bomba! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatho throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Boxer to counter with a crisp jab.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Boxer crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Gatho - the referee stops the clock and Boxer gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Gatho. Boxer manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Boxer.
Gatho throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Boxer wants to break free but Gatho has control.
Gatho tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Boxer's elbow.
Gatho tries to work over Boxer's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Gatho manages to break the clinch.
Gatho misses with a hook. Boxer ducked under it nicely.
Boxer keeps the fight on the outside.

Gatho throws a hook to the side of Boxer's head but Boxer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Gatho fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Boxer.
Gatho loads up on a big right hand but Boxer slips the punch.

Gatho swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gatho swings for the body but Boxer moves out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Gatho.
Boxer throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Gatho throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
A nice leg kick lands there from Gatho.
Boxer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A decent looking cross lands there for Gatho.
Gatho lands a really nice looking cross but Boxer seems unphased.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Boxer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gatho.
Gatho comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Boxer is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Gatho wants to clinch up but Boxer keeps it at a distance.

Boxer with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gatho to score with a decent uppercut.

and Gatho counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Good leg kick by Boxer there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Gatho shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Boxer but Boxer pushes him off and we're back to square one.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Boxer lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Gatho has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gatho and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Gatho moves into range and clinches up with Boxer.
Oh Boxer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Gatho stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boxer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Boxer is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Gatho to keep the fight standing.
Boxer's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gatho throws a punch but it's blocked by Boxer.
Boxer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gatho lands a slapping body shot.
Ben Gatho is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Gatho lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Gatho closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Boxer to the mat! Boxer manages to get full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gatho seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Ben Gatho comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Gatho has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
