The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gronholm gets caught napping as Maxwell dives in and scores a takedown. Gronholm manages to retain guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Maxwell throwing strikes but missing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maxwell's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Ross Maxwell has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Maxwell is nestled in close to Gronholm, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Maxwell wants to free his trapped foot but Gronholm is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Maxwell looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Maxwell seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Gronholm is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
