Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Garik Harlamov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MSgt. Francis Grover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Francis Grover. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, MSgt. Francis Grover!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harlamov checks a leg kick.
Grover fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Harlamov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Harlamov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Harlamov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Grover.
MSgt. Francis Grover seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grover fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Harlamov checks it well.
Grover throws a chopping leg kick but Harlamov manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Grover.
Harlamov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Grover circles away.
Harlamov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grover tries to avoid it but Harlamov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grover to the ground. Grover escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Harlamov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Grover got a little sloppy there for a moment and Harlamov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Grover has managed to get both his arms back between Harlamov's legs - danger averted.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Grover connects with a nice short shot to Harlamov's temple.

Well Grover has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
