Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lewis Warren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell comes to the cage accompanied by Ice Cold. Warren has chosen A Gentleman's Coup -- Rise Against as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chuck Liddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lewis Warren!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Alyssa Summers and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell closes the distance but Warren moves to the side
and Warren counters with a straight right hand.
Warren pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Liddell tries to clinch but Warren moves out of range.
Liddell fails in his attempt to clinch.
Liddell wants to slow Warren down by chopping away at his legs.
Liddell throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Liddell tries to bum rush Warren with a series of wild strikes but Warren uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Warren avoids the head kick by Liddell.
Liddell scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Liddell moves out of range as Warren strikes.
Both fighters circling a little - Warren finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Warren looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Liddell blocks a head kick by Warren.

Warren uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Liddell.
Liddell turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Warren throws a hook to the side of Liddell's head but Liddell sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Liddell lands a jab.
Liddell wants to clinch up but Warren keeps it at a distance.

Warren shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Liddell pushes Warren off but Warren dives into side control.
Liddell is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Warren has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Warren throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Liddell is trying to get back to his feet.
Warren misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Warren in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Warren misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Liddell tries to escape but Warren is in control.

The referee asks Warren politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Warren prefers to stall for the moment though.

An elbow from Warren crashes against the mat.
Warren controls the position.
Warren wants to take a breather but Liddell manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Warren.
Warrenis looking to pass into half guard but Liddell pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Liddell is in guard.
Warren wants to get back to his feet but Liddell passes into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Liddell seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Liddell postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Warren to stand up.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Warren crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Liddell - the referee stops the clock and Warren gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Liddell. Warren manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Liddell lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Warren at a distance.
Liddell goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Warren scores with a shot to the body.

Liddell darts in and clinches Warren up against the cage.
Liddell tries to land knees in the clinch but Warren avoids the damage to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Warren controlling the action here for a moment.
Warren looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Liddell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Liddell throws a right and a left that Warren avoids nicely.
Some bone on bone action there as Liddell checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Liddell uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Warren.
Liddell fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Warren is looking to slow Liddell down with leg kicks.

Warren connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Liddell scores with the left hand. Warren knows he should have avoided that one.
Warren walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Liddell checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Liddell attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Liddell tests Warren's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Liddell cracks Warren with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chuck Liddell will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Warren connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Warren throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Warren throws a nice looking combination but Liddell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Liddell connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Warren's hands.
Liddell bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Warren is looking to slow Liddell down with leg kicks.

Warren shoots in but no luck this time.
Liddell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Warren manages to avoid it.
Warren stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Liddell.
Liddell lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Liddell misses with a head kick.
Warren throws a chopping leg kick but Liddell manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Warren avoids the body shot from Liddell.
Horrible takedown by Warren or perhaps it was just good defense by Liddell which made him look bad.
Liddell stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Liddell wants it to stay on the feet.
Chuck Liddell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lewis Warren.
Nice shot lands for Liddell.
Warren misses with a leg kick

Liddell throws a shot from downtown. Warren moves away and avoids it.
Warren shoots for a double leg takedown but Liddell sprawls well. He's pushed Warren's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Liddell gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Liddell lands a good knee to the midsection. Warren won't want to take too many of those.

and Warren makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Liddell scores with a crisp jab that stopped Warren in his tracks.

Liddell throws a series of punches but Warren avoids them all with ease.
Liddell fails in his attempt to clinch.
Liddell works the jab nicely.
Warren throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Liddell's waist but Liddell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Warren off to one side.
Liddell walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Warren lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Liddell cracks the inside of Warren's front leg.
Liddell leaves Warren with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Warren is breathing heavily.
Liddell stalks Warren and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Warren's face. Warren staggers backwards, shaken.

Liddell moves into range and clinches up with Warren.
Warren lands a shoulder strike.
Warren is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Liddell.
Warren tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Warren misses with a hook to the ribs.
Warren managing to block the knees to the body from Liddell.
Liddell goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Warren is trying to break free.
Liddell fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Liddell tries to work over Warren's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Liddell gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Lewis Warren has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice body punch from Liddell - that landed with a thud.
Liddell lands a knee to the body.

Warren is rocked!

Liddell drops Warren onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Warren is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Warren is still on wobbly legs! Can Liddell finish him?
Chuck Liddell has scored more points in the clinch so far.
Clinched against the cage, Liddell lands a big elbow that drops Warren! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Warren is complaining that he's OK but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chuck Liddell!
After winning the bout, Chuck Liddell thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
